Joen Wolfrom is already well-known for her brilliant use of colour in her quilts and for her previous books. Once again she invites us to open our eyes to the colour inspiration in the natural world around us and shows how we can use this in creating vibrantly coloured quilts. There is a section on basic colour concepts, how to group and combine colours, followed by a section in which she uses photographs, computer-generated patterns, fabrics and paint samples to illustrates the use of colour. Finally, we’re shown how to create many different effects such as light and shade, perspective and transparency. Highly recommended for any aspiring quilt artist or for anyone who wants to widen their quilting horizons.
